Giving Thanks

I hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving! This is truly one of my favorite holidays hands down. I always look forward to the traditional foods, especially my mom's homemade stuffing. My husband and I had a fun time with family and good friends. Nothing beats great people and great food!

I am really grateful for all the wonderful people I have in my life.... my hubby, family, and friends. Not to change the subject but I am also really grateful for the many tupperwares that my mom and her friend Susan packed for us. We will be eating left overs for at least a few days!

Here are some pics of some of the amazing food.

Top 12 Random list

So, I was at home the other day and I made a to do list. Nothing new. That list, however, led to another list. I then realized how much I love making lists and checking things off. Here is my top 12 list of simple things I really enjoy. I decided to limit it to just 12 or it would have been the never-ending list....

2. Los Olivos getaways with my hubby
3. Gourmet coffee creamers
4. My mom's homemade stuffing
5. brunch with girlfriends

Style Admirer

Kate Beckinsale has impeccable style. Of course anyone lucky enough to work with Rachel Zoe has been transformed with perfection. I have always loved her less is more relaxed, modern style. When photographed in her daily life she always looks amazing yet at ease. Kate can rock jeans and a t-shirt so well and even look hot next to a shopping cart. On the red carpet, however, she is absolute FABULOSITY. She knows exactly what works for her body (which is practically anything) and sticks to her signature rich brunette locks and simple yet glam makeup (never overdone). LOVEE her.

Feelin' Blue

Feeling blue but not sad. Blue as in a beautiful royal shade of blue. I've been on the hunt for a fabulous new clutch for months. All my evening bags are either black, gray, or some sort of taupey neutral shade. I was looking for something more striking and fun when I stumbled upon this beauty at HAUTE SECONDS. The price was even better. Sold.

If you haven't been to HAUTE SECONDS, I highly recommend this gem. It is on Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica (I have posted the address/phone number below). The owner, Patty Fischer Turner, and her team are amazingly helpful. They carry all kinds of contemporary and designer labels in great condition and often new with tags.

Coincidentally, a friend of mine just gave me a gorgeous shade of blue nail polish.... Marc by Marc Blue. Thank you Carrie!

Looking Back......

Styling is one of my ultimate passions in life. I love putting different things together and being creative. I was looking through my styling portfolio and came across these pictures. It was one of my first test shoots ever. Andres Razo photographed these moments of Lyndsay Magellan... it was so much fun I cannot wait to collaborate on another.

What inspires you?

Look Luxe For Less Bucks

I believe in affordable fashion. You don't have to spend a lot of money to achieve a luxe look. For trendy pieces, you could fulfill your impulses with deals at Forever 21, H&M, Target, American Apparel, J Crew, and Urban Outfitters. I also love to peruse the net for deals on various websites including and eBay.

Below are some great finds that could easily add luxe to any look.

*Luxe bags. Left one is from cult fave Soo versatile, you could rock this day or night.... adds glamour to any outfit and for under $150 it's a great staple.

This bag is from Cute addition to any outfit and at $25.80 great price too.

*Best layering T-shirt

Cool bracelets/cuffs/necklaces. This is another easy and inexpensive way to dress up any look. Under $10... cannot tell. Thank you Forever 21.

The Mocha Lisa

I LOVE coffee but this is absolutely amazing and inspiring.

Artists used 3,604 cups of coffee to make a giant Mona Lisa in Sydney, Australia. These cups of coffee were each filled with different amounts of milk to create the different shades!!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Shout out to Ronnen for emailing us these pics.

Feelin' Free

Lately I'm really into layering cute, easy, and comfortable pieces. I want to get dressed and go with no mess in my closet. You know the whole "I just threw this on" look look (we all know this really IS a "look" and that we have actually spent some time putting it together). has some versatile pieces that could be layered with everything whether dressed up or down. I was cruising their website and found tons of great options. So, of course I ordered a few fun pieces including the lace top, convertable wrap, and cardigan. This gray cardigan is the perfect, easygoing piece to layer over anything! It comes in other colors but I love gray.
