TRAGEDY

Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash and Brittany Murphy in Clueless

RIP Brittany Murphy

I cannot believe that Brittany Murphy died today of a heart attack at age 32. I grew up with Clueless as one of my all time favorite films and loved watching all her movies. She was a great actress. My heart goes out to her family and friends.

RIP Brittany Murphy you will be missed!

Top 12 Fashion Faves

Top 12 random fashion faves right now:

1. STRIPED STUFF drapey or fitted T's, tunics - either way if it's got stripes I pretty much like it

2. TIGHTS Forever 21 and H & M have the best and most inexpensive selection around

3. TUNICS These are great over tights/leggings/skinny jeans

4. DRAPEY SWEATERS The perfect way to jazz up a plain old T and necklace (i.e. DKNY Cozy)

5. FLAT BOOTS They go with everything and look amazingly unexpected with dresses

6. LIL BAGS The kind that go across the body and fit your essentials.... it's a nice break from
finding a place to put your clutch when out

7. RIDING PANTS not tights yet not as thin as leggings.. great with tunics or drapey tops

8. ANKLE BOOTIES Adds some edge to any ensemble especially leggings or dresses

9. COCKTAIL RINGS Look beautiful with a simple nude mani... the more the merrier

10. BELTS An easy way to transform anything from a plain cardigan to an LBD.. period

I would love to know what are some of your faves??

Portfolio Throwback

Photoshoots are a lot of fun ! They are a lot of work and preparation, but when you see the final images you almost forget about all of that. I did this shoot with one of my favorite photographers Andres Razo. I was lucky to be part of a grea team of professionals. Mitzi Druss did hair and makeup, Thanh Ngu assisted me with styling, and Jeff Crooymans assisted Andres Razo with photography. It's also attributed to the fact that the models are so stunning they could wear a paper bag and look good (the image quality isn't quite as good on here but wanted to post).

You will probably recognize Kristen Kassinger and Whitney Oliver since they both work all the time!! I see Kristen Kassinger on the Forever21 website all the time. Also be sure to check out Andres Razo's work here http://andresrazo.com.

Enjoy and feel free to leave any comments!

CHLOE CHLOE CHLOE

I have always admired her quirky, indie, yet totally original style. She may not always get it right but who does? Never a slave to fashion or trends, Chloe is eternally chic.

School of Style

About a year ago I saw some ads for the School of Style on CraigsList. I kept thinking about it and then finally decided to take the class in December. I really had no idea what I was in for. Celebrity stylist, Luke Storey not only teaches the class but offers true insider information about the world of styling. Styling is a vast and growing field so it's not always easy to get an inside view.

Even though I had done some styling gigs on my own, I still learned a lot of useful tips and it helped give me more confidence on a job. I highly recommend Luke's class if you're even a little bit curious about styling. Once you take the SOS class, you get special invites to exclusive fashion events, premieres, sample sales, and other networking events. This emailing list is exclusive to the class and is a cool perk. In addition, you get a notebook with all the information he covers in class. It's a great resource to have handy on a job.

Another great thing I got out of the class, was an opportunity to assist Luke Storey on an editorial featuring Kendra Wilkinson. That was such an amazing experience and the clothes were beautiful. Luke is a great mentor and I really gained valuable hands on experience. There is no class like it.

I have posted some pictures below from the shoot we did. Feel free to check out his website at http://www.theschoolofstyle.com.

ENJOY!!!!
