Style Admirer

Kate Beckinsale has impeccable style. Of course anyone lucky enough to work with Rachel Zoe has been transformed with perfection. I have always loved her less is more relaxed, modern style. When photographed in her daily life she always looks amazing yet at ease. Kate can rock jeans and a t-shirt so well and even look hot next to a shopping cart. On the red carpet, however, she is absolute FABULOSITY. She knows exactly what works for her body (which is practically anything) and sticks to her signature rich brunette locks and simple yet glam makeup (never overdone). LOVEE her.

Feelin' Blue

Feeling blue but not sad. Blue as in a beautiful royal shade of blue. I've been on the hunt for a fabulous new clutch for months. All my evening bags are either black, gray, or some sort of taupey neutral shade. I was looking for something more striking and fun when I stumbled upon this beauty at HAUTE SECONDS. The price was even better. Sold.

If you haven't been to HAUTE SECONDS, I highly recommend this gem. It is on Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica (I have posted the address/phone number below). The owner, Patty Fischer Turner, and her team are amazingly helpful. They carry all kinds of contemporary and designer labels in great condition and often new with tags.

Coincidentally, a friend of mine just gave me a gorgeous shade of blue nail polish.... Marc by Marc Blue. Thank you Carrie!

Looking Back......

Styling is one of my ultimate passions in life. I love putting different things together and being creative. I was looking through my styling portfolio and came across these pictures. It was one of my first test shoots ever. Andres Razo photographed these moments of Lyndsay Magellan... it was so much fun I cannot wait to collaborate on another.

Look Luxe For Less Bucks

I believe in affordable fashion. You don't have to spend a lot of money to achieve a luxe look. For trendy pieces, you could fulfill your impulses with deals at Forever 21, H&M, Target, American Apparel, J Crew, and Urban Outfitters. I also love to peruse the net for deals on various websites including Shopbop.com and eBay.

Below are some great finds that could easily add luxe to any look.

The Mocha Lisa

I LOVE coffee but this is absolutely amazing and inspiring.

Artists used 3,604 cups of coffee to make a giant Mona Lisa in Sydney, Australia. These cups of coffee were each filled with different amounts of milk to create the different shades!!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Shout out to Ronnen for emailing us these pics.

Feelin' Free

Lately I'm really into layering cute, easy, and comfortable pieces. I want to get dressed and go with no mess in my closet. You know the whole "I just threw this on" look look (we all know this really IS a "look" and that we have actually spent some time putting it together).

FreePeople.com has some versatile pieces that could be layered with everything whether dressed up or down. I was cruising their website and found tons of great options. So, of course I ordered a few fun pieces including the lace top, convertable wrap, and cardigan. This gray cardigan is the perfect, easygoing piece to layer over anything! It comes in other colors but I love gray.

Heels with appeal

available Bonfire shoes at NineWest.com

Bonfire

I really love a shoe that looks beautiful and is comfortable. The days of suffering to look good are over (well they have been for a while now). I stumbled upon these "Bonfire" peep toe heels in black leather (or black suede). It just happened to be their Friends and Family sale so I bought them and got 30 % off. Who could resist right? I wore them that night to my brother's birthday at a club ( yep a club) and they are THE most comfortable shoes ever. Even with a 4 inch heel my feet weren't sore at all!

Naturally, my friend Sabina found them in the perfect nude shade (she is obsessed with the nude color) in suede for only $ 48.99 on their website. So...... I ordered them online (almost immediately) .... one pair for myself and the other for her... and wait, FREE shipping. SCORE. Thank you!
